This website summarizes the efforts of the Spring 2020 Survey of Italian Architecture class at Syracuse University in Florence, whose time abroad was cut short due to the spread of COVID-19 in Italy. While Boccaccio's narrators in the Decameron were confined to a Tuscan country villa by an outbreak of plague, we tell our stories from that great villa in the sky: the Internet. Here we remain in a kind of post-national limbo, purgatory in five different time-zones, waiting for the 'all-clear' when we can come together again. Until then, here is our work.
